Creating Value

Reducing carbon emissions and making the environment a cleaner and healthier place for future generations is a sound investment. There is also value in reducing, and in some cases eliminating, your monthly energy expenses. Depending on the improvements you choose there are Federal, State, and Local incentives that can make “Going Green” an affordable option. Pure Eco can help you identify and apply for these incentives.

The true value of conserving, recycling and generating energy from renewable sources cannot be measured in dollars alone.

The decision to save energy says a lot about your values as an individual, organization or community. Reducing carbon emissions and making our environment cleaner and healthier for future generations is a sound and intelligent investment. You will realize value by utilizing our services to lower, or possibly eliminate your monthly electric, gas or water bills. Sometimes the investment can be expensive, depending on the chosen solutions. Fortunately, there are many federal, state and local incentive programs to assist in significantly reducing the investment. Pure Eco will research and apply for all applicable incentives available to you so that you can get the best value for your solution. Pure Eco will also manage and trade any Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s) or Carbon Offset Credits that you generate. For specific incentive information in your state, please visit www.dsireusa.org.

Renewable Energy Credits(REC’s)

Renewable Energy Credits (REC’s), are created by anyone generating energy from renewable resources. These REC’s can be traded on the mandatory or voluntary carbon markets, which can help to offset costs associated with the installation of the renewable system and eventually, generate revenue.  Corporate or private entities may purchase REC’s in order to satisfy a regulatory agency requirement or to improve its image as an environmentally friendly organization.

Pure Eco can manage these credits for you.  We have the ability to certify and trade these credits to public utilities such as Consumers, DTE Energy or Cherryland Electric Company.

Your Energy Savings Program

DTE Energy’s “Your Energy Savings Program” offers cash incentives to help business customers reduce their energy use. These incentives reduce the up-front cost of installing more efficient equipment and make it easier to invest in energy efficiency. Since a portion of energy cost is a controllable operation expense, every dollar saved can make an impact on your bottom line.

Federal Incentives

Residential Personal Tax Credit (30% of system cost) – (Solar Water Heat, Photovoltaic’s, Wind, Fuel Cell, Geothermal Heat Pumps, other Solar Electric Technologies) A tax payer may claim a credit of 30% of qualified expenditures for a system that serves a dwelling unit located in the U.S. and used as a residence by the tax payer. Expenditures include labor costs for onsite preparation, assembly or original system installation as well as for the piping or wiring to interconnect a system to the home. If the federal tax credit exceeds tax liability, the excess amount may be carried forward to the next taxable year.

State & Local Incentives

Net Metering – Based on this ruling, utility customers having renewable electric generation systems of 20 kw and under will be eligible for “true” net metering. This means that for every kWh of electricity produced in excess of that customr’s consumption, an equivalent credit will be given on the customer’s next monthly bill.
