DTE Energy's "Your Energy Savings Program" offers cash incentives to help business customers reduce their energy use. These incentives reduce the up-front cost of installing more efficient equipment and make it easier for you to invest in energy efficiency. Sense a portion of energy costs are a controllable operation expense, every dollar saved can make an impact on your bottom line.
The program offers incentives for an array of energy-savings technologies-electric and gas. Customers can pick from a prescriptive menu of projects with pre-set incentives or propose a custom project with verifiable energy savings.
To participate in the program simply follow these steps:Prescriptive measures include lighting fixtures, lamps and controls; heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment and controls; gas water heaters; motors and variable speed drives; and other common energy efficiency measures. The incentive level varies but can cover up to 50 percent of the energy efficiency investment. Detailed specifications for each measure are listed in the incentive application.
Example of prescriptive rebates:Do you have an energy-saving project that's not on the prescriptive list? Consider applying for a custom incentive. Custom Incentives are paid based on the project's first year energy savings. Customers must submit a pre-notification application for all custom projects.
